The Thames from Hampton Court to Sunbury Lock

Ash island

Ash Island had also previously been known as Garrick's Lower Eyot and Harvey's Eyot.

Mr Harvey built a pub called The Angler's Retreat on this island, then demolished it and built a new one called The Angler’s Rest on Tagg's Island in 1852.

By the 1880’s there was the “bathing station of the Moulsey Rowing Club” on Harvey’s Eyot, according to Ripley’s history of Hampton.
